Creating a luxurious Master Suite
Our clients wanted a large Master Suite with a spacious walk in robe + dressing room and an updated ensuite. The style brief was to create a restful space that felt luxurious and elegant, while still being practical and warm. Our client has a stunning collection of handbags + accessories that she wanted to be able to showcase and house, rather than have hidden in boxes and unattractive storage.
After re-working the existing plan to accommodate these upgrades, the most important feature was in creating beautiful custom cabinetry that would reflect the style brief. A gorgeous warm green Polytec finish was chosen for the cabinetry fronts for the bedroom and walk in robe, along with aged brass knobs and handles which instantly brought a freshness to the space. Built in bedside tables with Caesarstone tops provide practical storage and frame the wallpapered bedhead wall, showcasing the Aerin wall lights from Bloomingdales Lighting.
A linen MCM bed dressed in the softest linen sheets feature bespoke cushions – 1 set in tones of pink and another in greens, allowing seasonal changes. New wool carpet throughout brings softness underfoot and a lovely little reading chair in a deliciously soft boucle invites you to stop, rest and take in the view. New bespoke sheer curtains provide privacy but actually perfectly frame the view of the Poinciana tree outside, currently housing a birds nest and its sweet occupants.
Walking into the dressing room, you feel as you have stumbled into a designer paradise. Wall to wall custom cabinetry with glass fronts and mirrored backs showcase our clients impressive collection of handbags & accessories, purchased the world over – a practical and fabulous travel momento! Central to the room is a custom island with stone tops and glass inlay, so our client can view her beautiful accessories and jewelry at a glance. The warm green Polytec finish is continued through here in the door and drawer fronts with brass detailing. A hand beaded chandelier provides the perfect amount of glamour without overwhelming the space.
Stepping into the ensuite feels like walking into your own personal spa, with stone-look tiles bringing a sense of understated luxury and brass taps and accessories mirroring the warmth felt throughout the bedroom and walk in robe. A standalone bath invites you to soak your worries away. The curved shower is simply stunning and features penny round mosaic tiles, creating a warm textural finish. Custom vanities in Polytech Maison Oak with caesarstone tops feature curved edges, reflected in the curved mirrors above. These curved edges combined with soft lighting bring an elegant softness to a space that, if not planned carefully, could feel hard and cold.
The master suite has now been transformed into a luxurious and elegant space that instantly feels tranquil and restful. Now with an abundance of practical and beautiful storage, it provides the perfect place to showcase those special pieces.
